1/35 "Nila" Girls in Action

Chanced upon an interesting 1/35 resin figure from zlpla. Took up the challenge of painting it as I typically work on larger scales. Fun exercise and it won't be my last if they have more of such interesting figures :)

WIP : MJ Michael Wittmann

Started on this commission for a collector.

Having fun with the U Boat jacket. Using a myriad of colors, blues, oranges, browns & greys for tonal variation for a rather dark and shiny leather jacket.

1/10 YM Operation Valkyrie

Completed on 2 May 2019.

Liking how the face and uniform turned out on this one. :)

(WIP) YM WW2 Operation Valkyrie

Started on a bust of Col. Claus Von Stauffenberg from the movie Valkyrie. Some tweaks are still in order.

No prizes for guessing who the actor is :)

1/24 Landksknecht.

One of my favourite subjects from the period. Unfortunately, I kinda rushed through it as my patience was running low. There are areas that I could improve further and will put that into my next project :)

WIP: Castle Miniatures 1/24 Landsknecht

Started work on a 1/24 Landsknecht from Castle Miniatures.

Really loved the roguish and cock face on this wily survivor of close quarter combat. Landsknechts often fight in mass blocks of pikes and select few employ flamberge in an attempt to break the formation of the opposing block which often result in high mortality of these kamikaze fighters.

This chap must have a few tricks up his puffy sleeves to reap such a hefty coin purse and a fur-lined cloak.

WW2 British Tanker "Tea Time"

Finished my 1st bust of 2019. It was a gift from the generous Young B Song of Young Miniatures a few years back. Finally dug it out and finished it.

I did a similar sculpt of the bust by Young when I first started painting busts. It's in the last picture and I guess you can say I have developed my painting style over the years. It was only possible with the great teachers like Calvin Tan, Allan Yong, Bernard Cher and Myker Lee that met along the way :)

My first painted bust on the left and on the right my recently completed bust :)

Myrddin Wyllt (Merlin), Nocturna, 1/32

After a long hiatus from blogging, I broke the laziness streak by completing this 1/32 scale resin miniature of Merlin from Nocturna.

It depicts Merlin or (Myrddin in Welsh) out gathering mandrake root with his owl familiar. Decided to create a small little scene of him out and about with his blue robes contrasting against the otherwise earthly background.

The casting on the figure can be improved with some uneven surfaces that can be smoothen. Nonetheless an interesting and quick figure to finish in a few days.
